Join images / collage
Arrange photos on one canvas with consistent spacing. Use Join images / collage locally with practical instructions, output settings and format limits.
Join images / collage
Combine several photographs into one grid or row using consistent cells, spacing and background colour. Uploaded images fill their cells in order from left to right, with centre cropping where proportions differ. Adjust the grid dimensions to make a comparison sheet, contact image or compact visual summary.
- Create a before-and-after image row
- Arrange product photos into a grid
- Make a simple contact sheet
How to use Join images / collage
Add and order the pictures
Select between two and twenty supported still images. Arrange them in reading order because cells are filled left to right and then down each row.
Set the collage geometry
Choose the number of columns, cell width, cell height and spacing. Each image fills its cell, so choose cell proportions suited to the content.
Choose background and output
Pick the background colour for gaps and select PNG, JPG or WebP. Keep the complete collage within the maximum of forty million output pixels.
Create and inspect every cell
Run Create output and download the collage. Check image order, centre crops and empty space at the end of a partly filled final row.
Understand the settings
- Columns
- Columns accepts values from 1 to 10, using whole numbers. The initial value is 2. Change it for a specific output requirement, then check the result before processing more files.
- Cell width (px)
- Cell width (px) accepts values from 1 to 4096, using whole numbers. The initial value is 600. Change it for a specific output requirement, then check the result before processing more files.
- Cell height (px)
- Cell height (px) accepts values from 1 to 4096, using whole numbers. The initial value is 600. Change it for a specific output requirement, then check the result before processing more files.
- Spacing (px)
- Spacing (px) accepts values from 0 to 300, using whole numbers. The initial value is 16. Change it for a specific output requirement, then check the result before processing more files.
- Background
- Choose the background used by the operation. The initial colour is #ffffff. Check the output against its intended background, particularly when transparent areas, fine edges or text contrast matter.
- Output format
- Choose output format according to the result you need. Available choices: PNG; JPG; WEBP. The initial selection is PNG.
A six-photo product overview
Six product photos need one compact overview. Choose three columns, 600 by 600 pixel cells and a small white gap. Create the collage and inspect each centre crop, replacing or recropping source photos where an important product edge was lost.
Check your result
Upload a supported file, adjust the settings and create the output. Images are placed in upload order, from left to right. Maximum 20 inputs and 40 million output pixels. Open the saved output in the app or workflow where you plan to use it. Check one representative result before repeating the same settings with more files. The original files stay unchanged.
What to know before you start
- Files are processed on this device. Browser memory and engine-specific limits apply. Save results before reloading.
- Images are placed in upload order, from left to right. Maximum 20 inputs and 40 million output pixels.
- Upload up to 20 files, at least 2 with a combined size of at most 100 MB. The completed output must fit within 200 MB.
- Files are checked by the local engine; a matching filename alone is not proof of valid contents.

Join images / collage: common questions
How is image order determined?
Images are placed in their upload-list order, moving left to right across each row. When a row is full the next image starts the following row, so arrange the list before creating the final collage.
Are images stretched into cells?
No. Each image is fitted to fill its cell with its proportions retained, which means edges can be cropped. For a subject near the edge, prepare a suitable source crop or choose a more accommodating cell shape.
Can I make a single row?
Yes. Set the number of columns to the number of images, within the column control’s maximum. The cell dimensions and gap determine the resulting row width, which must still fit within the total output pixel bound.
Does spacing include an outer border?
Yes. Spacing is added between cells and around the outer edge of the collage. The overall dimensions therefore include the cell areas plus these gaps, which matters when planning a precise width for a layout.
Does Join images / collage upload files to another service?
Processing runs in this browser, on your device. Files and pasted input are not uploaded to a conversion server. The website and required engine assets must load first; large operations depend on available device memory.
Can I continue after changing pages?
