Merge PDF
Bring your documents into one PDF. Use Merge PDF locally with practical instructions, output settings and format limits.
Merge PDF
Combine several PDF documents into one file in a chosen reading order. Arrange the uploaded files before merging; pages inside each source keep their existing sequence. This is useful for assembling a cover letter, report and supporting pages into a single attachment of up to 100 pages.
- Combine a cover letter and report
- Assemble monthly statements
- Bundle project handover documents
How to use Merge PDF
Add the source PDFs
Select at least two working, unprotected PDF documents. Check that the combined page count stays at or below the limit of 100 pages.
Arrange document order
Move the uploaded documents into the intended sequence. Put a cover sheet first and supporting material last; pages within each source are kept together.
Create the combined document
Run Merge PDFs after confirming the file order. The engine copies pages from each document into a new PDF without asking you to reprint them.
Review the finished PDF
Download the merged document and inspect transitions between source files. Confirm that every expected page appears and that the first and last pages are correct.
Understand the settings
This operation uses fixed output settings. Choose and order the supported files as described above, then review the output notes.
One project delivery attachment
A delivery package contains a two-page cover note, a twelve-page report and four supporting pages in separate PDFs. Add the files in that order and merge them. Review the resulting eighteen-page PDF before attaching it to the delivery message.
Check your result
Add at least two PDFs. Move documents up or down to choose their order; pages inside each document keep their original order. Up to 100 pages across the selected PDFs. Page content is copied; interactive forms, bookmarks and digital signatures may not carry over. Open the saved output in the app or workflow where you plan to use it. Check one representative result before repeating the same settings with more files. The original files stay unchanged.
What to know before you start
- Files are processed on this device. Browser memory and engine-specific limits apply. Save results before reloading.
- Up to 100 pages across the selected PDFs. Page content is copied; interactive forms, bookmarks and digital signatures may not carry over.
- Upload up to 20 files, at least 2 with a combined size of at most 100 MB. The completed output must fit within 200 MB.
- Files are checked by the local engine; a matching filename alone is not proof of valid contents.
- Selections and completed jobs stay available while you navigate inside this tab. Use My files to revisit results. Reloading or closing the tab clears the workspace; download results you want to keep first.
Merge PDF: common questions
Can I reorder pages within a source?
The merge tool controls document order and keeps each source document internally unchanged. To move individual pages, first use Reorder PDF pages on the relevant source, or reorder the complete merged document afterward.
How many pages can I combine?
The complete merged PDF can contain up to 100 pages. The tool checks the accumulated count while adding documents, so several individually valid files can still exceed the combined limit when merged together.
Do signatures and forms carry over?
Page content is copied, but interactive forms, bookmarks and digital signatures may not carry over as expected. Inspect those features in the downloaded document and retain the source files when their interactive behaviour matters.
Can I merge password-protected PDFs?
Use working, unprotected PDFs for this operation. If you know a document password, create an unlocked copy with the dedicated unlock tool first, then add that copy in the intended merge position.
Does Merge PDF upload files to another service?
Processing runs in this browser, on your device. Files and pasted input are not uploaded to a conversion server. The website and required engine assets must load first; large operations depend on available device memory.
Can I continue after changing pages?
Selections and completed jobs stay available while you navigate inside this tab. Use My files to revisit results. Reloading or closing the tab clears the workspace; download results you want to keep first.
